The effect of specific sport skills on improvement Visual–Motor Integration in children with motor disability

Abstract:

Objective: Movement is essential for learning. Previous studies explored the relationship between movement and Visual Motor Integration, however, evidence regarding the specific sport skills related to visual motor integration is lacking. Therefore, the purpose current study was the effect of specific sport skills on visual-motor integration in children with motor disability. Method: Participants in this study were girls aged between seven and twelve who were experiencing backwardness. At the beginning and the end of the study, the pre-test and post-test were performed using the Beery Visual Motor Integration test. Experimental group also trained the specific sport skills for 12 weeks and 36 sessions. Result: The result of the analysis showed that the performance of the experimental group in Visual Motor Integration was significantly higher than that of the control group that was kept uninterrupted at the level of daily activities (p≤0/05).
